Prince Chahaya tells the guard to announce his presence to his parents. The guards obey and while opening the door, announce Prince Chahaya's attendance. Topan, on the other hand, is only met with questioning-and accusing- looks by the guards. 'What is a guard doing with the prince?' they probably thought. 

 "What is it, son?" asked King Mega when Prince Chahaya has entered the room and the door has been closed.

"This is a Neo Renegade soldier," announced Prince Chahaya.

Topan, who is surprised by the sudden divert of attention, bows to the King and Queen. He then stands up, waiting for whatever question and accusation will be thrown his way. 

"He has come to deliver this flash drive containing a video which Neo Renegades want to show us."

King Mega and Queen Remboelan are both shocked. The queen appears like she is on the verge of tears, anxious about what the video will be about as she has been worrying about her eldest son day and night. Prince Chahaya pulls out the flash drive from his pocket and gives it to the kingdom's advisor. Familiar with a drive, the advisor effortlessly connects it to a screen to show the video. 

On the screen, Prince Surya is sitting on a modest bed with both of his hands shackled. He has become much thinner than the royal family remembers. His hair is messy and his eyes have rounded dark circles around it. Queen Remboelan has bursted into tears at the sight of her son. King Mega, however, becomes cold as he grows angrier at the proof of how badly his son has been treated.

' My name is Prince Surya, the eldest son of King Mega of the New Kingdom of Indonesia. I have been kidnapped by the Neo Renegades. They have a couple of demands that should be fulfilled before I can be released. First, an access for 1 month to Matahari's resources including seeds and fertilizers. Second, rationed food for the Neo Renegades soldiers for 1 year. Third, increased food for Rama.'

The video cuts after that and the whole room falls into a silent. The atmosphere is cold with the whole royal family and advisor looking like sculptures, frozen as they try to hold back emotions. The advisor finally clears his throat to signal Topan to say something regarding this news.

"My name is Topan of Rama, your Majesty. I was a guard to the Queen before I was scouted by the Neo Renegades. Ehm..Before I betrayed the kingdom." Topan lowers his head after finishing his sentence, unable to see the faces of the King and Queen. Especially the Queen because he was serving her for a long time. 

"And what made you decide to come back?" asked the advisor on the King's behalf.

"I was actually given a mission to deliver this flash drive to your majesty the King. But I have decided to not come back to Neo Renegades because I know how terrible they are. I am willing to disclose everything I know about the Neo Renegades."

"In return, he is asking for forgiveness and reinstallment as guard," continues Prince Chahaya.

"How will I know my son will be safe if we comply to the rebellion's request?" the king has finally spoken. 

"The truth is, Your Majesty, I cannot guarantee that."

"Then why should I forgive you?" He continues.

"Because Prince Surya himself is the one that made me realize what my true calling is. He told me that I am not a rebellion...that deep inside he still sees hope in me," said Topan. 

The king becomes quiet as he appears to be thinking hard regarding the most reasonable actions. His advisor patiently waits for a command. He turns off the screen and stores the flash drive in a small box as evidence. 

"Very well. You can stay as a guard here. However..." 

The half-finished sentence of the king has made Topan happy yet beyond nervous. He knows that whatever the king has decided, he has to accept. He has no place to return as the promised time has passed and Guntur would have left without him by now. 

"However, you will not be the queen's guard. Your rank will be lowered as a regular guard on the front line of Garuda." 

The king's decision came as a good news for Topan. He does not expect to be reinstalled as the queen's guard. He knows how far he has betrayed the kingdom. Therefore, he is beyond happy to receive his 'punishment'. To him, it is a blessing, a home that he has longed for. 

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

"You are dismissed. Proceed to your old supervisor for your barrack cell number and task."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Topan leaves as per the king's request while Prince Chahaya remains. He knows that his father will order him to do something about this matter. Their parents will do whatever it takes to save their beloved son. Prince Chahaya hates to admit but he is not very happy with the thought of his brother returning to the kingdom. That would mean losing all the responsibilities and priviledges he has now.

"Chahaya, you will talk to Matahari to discuss the opening for Neo Renegade. I want to limit the number of those rebellions in my ship. The number itself, I believe you can calculate and decide. Ensure that we are prepared to fulfil their demand while ensuring that your brother is returned safely. We have to make sure that we are not giving anything for free if Surya's safety is not guaranteed."

"How do you wish me to reach out to the Neo Renegades?" he asked.

"I am sure you can figure it out. Work with Topan or whoever."

"Yes, Father."

Although confused and uncertain about his feelings, Prince Chahaya agrees to his father's requests. With news that Prince Surya is alive and may be returning, he has to prove himself that he is worthy of a position to his father. 

"You may leave." 

"I will excuse myself then, Father, Mother."

Prince Chahaya leaves the room with a rock inside his heart. His head is pounding as hard as his chest because of how upset, confused and scared he is. This task seems beyond his capability. A single wrong move will determine his brother's fate, the kingdom's future and most importantly, his position in his father's eyes.
